Thoughts & Inspiration

Hello, from the Adventures in Missions headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia!! I am currently a week into this season of squad leading Gap C and I love them so much already. For those of you who do not know, I am leading the World Race: Gap Year again for another nine months. The World Race changed my life and I am so glad to be able to give another year of my life to their mission of making disciples.

Because of the pandemic, we are living under tight quarantine conditions in Georgia for three and a half months. While normally we would spend this time overseas, the pandemic has offered the unique opportunity for us to be trained up in the Word and build unity as a church body before launching in January. If you are curious about any of this or wondering how you can support me, email me at [email protected].

The other night, I was sitting in worship and the Lord gave me an incredible idea. I was thinking about how I wanted to keep my supporters updated, but with my schedule and the amount on my mind, it would be difficult to. The Lord gave me the idea to reach out to the friends that I have all over the world to share what the Lord is doing in their hearts and in their communities during this crazy time of life.

I firmly believe that as a global church body we need to be celebrating together and interceding over each other! Too often we become too focused on what sits in front of us and forget about the global mission of our God. He has come to reconcile the nations to Himself!! All peoples, tribes, and countries will shout out to the praise of His glory.

With that, I will be featuring the amazing things that the Lord is doing around the world everyday on my blog for the next few weeks! Please share, join in prayer, and worship the Lord in response. Support our brothers and sisters as they fight for Jesus’ fame across the globe.

Please keep myself and Gap Year in your prayers as we ready our hearts to carry the gospel across the world next year.

Much love,

Philip Wilson

  1. Philip, What an awesome idea! I’m going to “ration out” these letters over the next few days and be intentional to pray for each one before moving on. Looking forward to reading some of your previous posts as well. Nathan speaks very highly of you and is thrilled to be team leading alongside you.
    Blessings,
