Philip Eber Wilson. What are his most valued values? What attributes are most high in his eyes? What characteristics does he seek and appreciate in others?
I am sure there are many, but if he could only choose five what would they be? Surely, he enjoys humor, creativity, and intelligence; however, I don’t think those encompass the entirety of who he strives to be. Those aren’t the people Philip looks up to the most. I think I know the answers though.
———-
WISDOM
Wisdom is taking into account the consequences of one’s actions and how they will affect others and oneself and it is acting out in a way that would be acceptable in the sight of God.
INTEGRITY
Integrity is being whole and undivided even in the absence of others. It is sacrificial love that is persistent but not insisting. It doesn’t strive to make its presence known but its absence is surely felt.
VULNERABILITY
Vulnerability is authenticity. Authenticity is truth. Truth in vulnerability is opening oneself up for rejection. That is extremely humble.
RESPECT
Respect is integrity within the heart and mind. Respect in disagreement is open-mindedness and creates harmony and true peace. It is returned to those who give it; if or when it isn’t returned on earth, it is in heaven.
CHALLENGE
Challenge is having wisdom to know that more growth is needed. It is the respect of oneself to push themself and it is having the integrity to do it. Through honest failure it is vulnerable and totally worth it. If it wasn’t, it would not be challenging.
———-
With integrity, wisdom creates self-government and competency. With vulnerability, it gives a sense of relatability and trust and gives opportunity for discipleship. When wisdom and respect mingle, there is only more respect and wisdom. Wisely challenging oneself also creates more wisdom and makes every challenge look a little more credible.
Integrity with vulnerability is repentance before God. Respect is the best friend of integrity because it works to humble and lift others higher. Integrity within challenge creates durability, steadfastness, and confidence.
Vulnerability and challenge work to teach lessons through self-awareness and honesty. It produces wisdom, strengthens integrity, and gifts respectability.
When you mix all five in a pot you receive what Philip values the most: HUMILITY. Kelsey Chancellor once said, “If pride is the root of all things evil, I think humility is the root of all things good.” ‘Nuff said.
YEET. this is real good, phil.
