I leave this Saturday for Atlanta, Georgia for a little more training before launching to Ecuador as the start of this nine-month journey. I want to thank everyone who has supported me to this point and encouraged me. It means so much to me. God has provided much more than I would have ever imagined. However, I did not hit my $10,000 deadline last month. The Carolina Reaper challenge failed miserably (which is probably for the best seeing as I had some extremely hot wings the other week and realized how much damage it tolls haha.) Also, our yard sale was not as busy as some of our past yard sales. Even though these did not perform, God did. My grandma in Canada had a yard sale for me that was fairly successful, and I received some very generous donations. I have the minimum of $7500 needed to launch, but I need to pass the 10k deadline by the first week of October. Luckily, I have a pretty dope way that you can help me. I’ve partnered with Fund the Nations to design a t-shirt you all can purchase to help me on this trip.

I don’t know what the future holds. It is a frosted glass window, but I see the light on the other side. I’m putting myself into the hands of Jesus and letting Him lead me where He would take me. I’m blindfolded like I was on that mountain when my teammate Jacob had to lead me up to the top. I’m relying on those around me, but that not a bad thing. I am so excited. I am ready to grow. I will not let fear hold onto me. I will not be anxious about fundraising. I will go with a glad spirit. I will embrace the uncertainty for “God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” I encourage you all to stop worrying and embrace the uncertainty, seek discomfort, for in the fire you will be forged. I purposefully left the shirt vague, because while the symbolism means a lot to me, it can apply to everyone. Young and old, man and woman, Christian and atheist, I pray that you all walk in boldness and love and that this shirt would be a reminder of that to you. (Although if you are atheist I would lovingly urge you to reconsider lol haha)

Details:

I am selling them at $20 each plus shipping (2XL and larger are $22). They are “soft shirts”, a nicer and comfortable type fabric shirt. However, they tend to be a less generous of a fit than a normal t-shirt. Therefore, I recommend that if you are unsure between two sizes pick the larger size. The sizes are: Youth Sm, M, Lg and Adult XS-4XL. My mom will be in charge of the shirts since I'll be gone. You can contact her at hoocan98@gmail.com. Please do not pay via the blog because not all the money from the shirts go to me. I will be selling these through September 30 and will then order all the shirts at once. So don't be confused when you don't get them right away. Payment due September 30. If you have any questions please email me via the contact link on the side bar of the blog, or just Facebook message me! Thank you all and I'll keep you updated as much as possible on the field. ¡Hasta luego!
